OLP is pleased to introduce the safest hooks on the market: Snughooks. Snughooks are recessed hooks which provide a safer alternative to protruding hooks, minimising unnecessary hazards. The safe design of Snughooks makes them ideal for schools and public areas.
Designed and manufactured in Australia, Snughooks are ideal for indoor and outdoor environments including change rooms, classrooms, staff rooms, halls and storage areas. Snughooks are ideal for hanging school bags, hats and coats, eliminating potential trip hazards. It is the injected moulded design, allowing for a smooth and recessed hook, which makes the design of the Snughooks so unique. Because there are no protrusions or sharp edges, there is no risk of eye or head injuries.
Snughooks were designed by Perth design and technology teacher John Matthews who identified the hazards associated with traditional hooks.
Snughooks are made using Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene. This material combination was selected following a thorough consultation period with key education infrastructure advisors and plastic engineers. Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene is regarded for its high strength, heat resistance and impact ductility. Common applications include flashlights, phones, tractor hoods and wheel covers.
Snughooks come in sections which can be joined or installed in rows to further enhance storage. The moulded sections come with metal blacking plates which can be mounted to most surfaces and can be easily assembled and disassembled.
